Staff Accountant
supports the daily accounting operations of the organization and plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records. This position is responsible for assisting with month‑end close, reconciliations, and general ledger activities while ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Location:
Wayne, PA (onsite)
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes
Perform account reconciliations, including bank, balance sheet, and income statement accounts
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed
Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports
Analyze variances and investigate discrepancies
Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation
Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve accounting issues
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
2+ years of accounting or related experience
Understanding of general ledger accounting and basic GAAP principles
Proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting systems or ERPs
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with month‑end close and account reconciliations
Public accounting internship or experience
