4C Stepdown Unit - Registered Nurse (RN) – Full Time – All Shifts Available Join ChristianaCare as a Registered Nurse on the 4C Medical Stepdown Unit. Work 36 hours per week with flexibility for weekend and holiday shifts as per department guidelines. This is a full‑time, full‑flex position.

Base pay range:

$41.28/hr – $66.05/hr

About the Role:

The 4C Stepdown Unit is a Medical Intermediate Care inpatient unit serving a complex adult patient population. You will provide safe, compassionate care in a team environment, building relationship‑based connections with patients, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues. You will oversee 4–5 patient assignments and collaborate with Patient Care Technicians, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, and other medical professionals.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.

Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and document care.

Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team to deliver timely, effective interventions.

Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical education to foster independence and professional growth.

Encourage and support continuing education, including board certification in Medical‑Surgical, Geriatric, or Progressive Care Nursing.

General Requirements

BSN required. ADN candidates must commit to obtaining a BSN within three years of hire.

At least one year of acute or sub‑acute care experience preferred.

BLS certification required.
