Summary
The Release Scanner is responsible for ensuring that all vehicles are staged in the correct rail or truck loading areas, and are dealer ready before being released for shipment. This position is required to operate scanner equipment, company golf carts, vans, and small buses in a safe and productive manner.
Responsibilities
Inspect and release vehicles for shipment in load lines Scan units into their location
Have a good understanding of daily tasks, and perform in a safe manner
Conduct inspections on golf carts, vans or buses, before operating
Operate radios and scanner equipment properly
Report all major issues found with units to department supervisor or manager
Correct all minor issues found with units staged in load lines prior to release for shipment
Ensure all units are staged in the correct rail or truck loading areas
Conduct inspection of each vehicle to ensure they are dealer ready before being released for shipment
Release each vehicle for shipment in the appropriate load lines after inspection
Communicate issues found with units that can not be released for shipment, so issues can be resolved in a timely manner
Document any issues found and/or corrected with vehicles in load lines
Complete inspection sheets and submit them to supervisor on a daily basis
Conduct daily tasks in a safe and productive manner, with minimal errors Notify supervisor if assigned area needs assistance
Notify supervisor when leaving post or work area
Make sure that any company vehicle that has been operated is clean, and that all personal items are removed at the end of the shift
Make sound decisions in preventing hazards to self, and co-workers
Report all hazards, injuries, found damage and near misses to immediate supervisor
Report any team member who does not adhere to company's policies or vehicle handling procedures
All other duties assigned

Must be willing and able to cross-train in other departmental needs Required
Ability to read, write, follow verbal and written instruction in English Required
Ability to work independently and in a team setting Required
Strong interpersonal skills Required
Ability to organize work activities Required
Requires flexibility with schedule including break times as well as working extended hours, weekends, and holidays Required

Education & Experience
High School Diploma/G.E.D Required
Must hold a valid state-issued driver's license without restrictions Required
