Shift: Day Shift, 40 Hours

Patient Access Representative Job Summary Directs and delegates workflow, staffing to the Patient Access staff on an ongoing basis, monitors staff performance and performs job evaluations and addresses staff performance issues. This person is responsible for the Registration process for all hospital service areas with the exception of behavioral health and physical medicine. The Patient Access registration supervisor is considered the point person for systems implementation and troubleshooting. This position is responsible for the supervision of the entire Patient Access staff over all 3 shifts. Adheres to the philosophy of Day Kimball Hospital including support and participation in the workshops provided.
Key Responsibilities
Directs and delegates workflow in managing the front-end of the revenue cycle.
Directly supervises a staff of 20-25 on an ongoing basis supporting and establishing monthly registration goals and expectations.
Serves as a resource to Patient Access staff. Provides cross coverage.
Performs coverage and analysis by performing registration duties. Also, updates and changes policies and procedure as necessary.
Assist with the preparation of payroll and complete monthly work schedules in accordance with budget to ensure adequate staffing levels and minimal overtime; reporting labor variances as required.
Follow up on patient concerns promptly
Implement AIDET communication framework and promote excellent customer service
Required Skills and Qualifications Education:
Associate or Bachelors Degree in Business required or 5+ years of supervisory medical experience
Experience:
Five years of supervisory experience in a hospital environment within Patient Access or Patient Accounts.
Knowledge of medical and insurance terminology preferred
Strong coaching and mentoring skills required.
Ability to handle multiple priorities.
