About the Role As a Process Engineer, you will play a critical role in optimizing manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Your technical expertise will directly impact production quality, cost-effectiveness, and operational safety. Key Responsibilities Required
Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
Implement process improvements to increase throughput, reduce waste, and lower costs.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and troubleshoot process deviations.
Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and quality assurance teams to ensure consistent product quality.
Lead and support capital and process improvement projects from conception through implementation.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Utilize data analysis tools to assess process performance and generate reports for management.
Provide technical support, develop SOPs, and train operations staff.
Preferred
Stay current on modern technologies and industry best practices.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Pulp & Paper Science, Process Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the pulp and paper industry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in recycled paper or OCC processes.
Exposure to continuous improvement frameworks such as Lean or Six Sigma.
Work Environment
Manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, temperature variations, dust, and chemicals.
Must be able to walk, stand, and climb ladders/stairs.
Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $80,000–$90,000 annually.
