Duties and Responsibilities
Become knowledgeable of program goals, clinical objectives, and clinical evaluation systems.
Provide students with appropriate and adequate clinical supervision.
Provide students with appropriate and adequate clinical instruction.
Perform clinical competency evaluation for each student assigned to their supervision.
Project a positive professional attitude toward students and the teaching process.
Participate in continuing education to improve and maintain competence in evaluation skills.
Meet regularly with program officials to communicate student progress, strengths, and weaknesses.
Assist in maintaining student clinical records.
Maintain confidentiality in accordance with program policy.
May participate in the designated student selection process for entry into the program.
Participate in meetings and serve on committees consistent with the goals of the educational program.
Comply with program policies and procedures and JRCERT Standards.
Actively participate in meetings, including but not limited to: Division meetings, Faculty meetings, Program specific meetings, Assessment Committee meetings, Clinical Instructor meetings, and Advisory Committee meetings as invited.
Communicate regularly and effectively with program officials.
May be required to teach specific topics, labs, etc. either in campus labs or in the clinical setting relevant to ARRT Radiography registry content areas.
May be required to travel to various clinical sites.
Abide by FERPA regulations.
Maintain ARRT certification and appropriate continuing education.
Maintain American Heart Association CPR certification.
Maintain shot records, annual PPD testing, etc. as required by clinical facilities.
Wear PPE as required by facility and/or patient condition.
Special Assignments May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
Qualifications
Credentialed in Radiography in good standing by ARRT.
Hold the equivalent of two (2) years full‑time professional experience specific to the modality.
Meet the criteria for the position as established by the sponsoring institution.
Ability to use instructional and clinical tracking technologies.
Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
Current CPR certification by the American Heart Association.
Ability to wear appropriate PPE as required by clinical facility and/or patient condition.
Must be able to pass criminal background screening.
Additional Considerations Prior experience teaching within a JRCERT accredited program.
Required Travel Some travel may be required.
Salary & Benefits Hourly: $20.63 - $35 per hour; up to 29 hours per week; evenings and weekends may be required. No telework options available. Part‑time.
