Position Description
Under the responsibility of the Logistics Supervisor, the Material Handler I performs warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Material Handler in Romeoville, Illinois.
Pay & Schedule Hourly Pay: $23.00 per hour.
$0.75 per hour shift premium.
Schedule: Sunday – Tuesday 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM and Wednesday 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as a team member.
Team player and diverse work environment.
Highly thorough and dependable.
Punctual with a good attendance record.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
High initiative.
High accuracy under pressure.
Lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs.
Stand for long periods.
Work using health and safety methods.
Available to work flexible schedule on various shifts.
Detail oriented with excellent follow-up.
Responsibilities
Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
Accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading/unloading of trucks.
Daily paperwork in warehouse environment (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
Provide technical and maintenance support during core shift hour of production.
Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
Perform other duties as assigned.
