Indelco Plastics is a leading distributor of corrosion‑resistant thermoplastic products for fluid process industries across North America. With 13 locations across the Midwest, and represent over 70 industry‑leading manufacturers. Position Overview We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail‑oriented person to join our team. This role of warehouse/inside sales plays a vital role in supporting our customers, managing inbound products, processing orders, and ensuring seamless communication between customers and others in the office.
Drive a company truck with a capacity under 5 tons (10,000 lbs.) to transport materials to and from specified destinations such as manufacturing plants, construction sites, offices, or within industrial yards.
Key responsibilities
On a daily basis, coordinating the delivery of products or materials to the proper destination by identifying the destination, selecting a route, and driving the vehicle.
Properly loads products and material on the company truck to prevent damage during shipment, double‑checking against shipping papers along with another employee for accuracy.
Delivers and unloads product on customer’s premises, collects payment if C.O.D., and obtains a signature for receipt of goods delivered.
Respond to inbound customer inquiries via phone and email, providing timely information on product availability, pricing, and technical specifications.
Prepare accurate sales quotations and convert them into orders through our ERP system.
Maintain strong customer relationships by understanding their business needs and offering thoughtful, solution‑oriented support.
Always maintain safe driving practices, noting road conditions and product load, complying with Indelco’s policies and procedures, and highway rules and regulations.
Proactively follow up on outstanding quotes, back orders, and delivery timelines.
Receives product by unloading vehicles, accepting deliveries, and unpacking containers. Storing products in predetermined locations.
Maintain up‑to‑date customer and sales activity records within our CRM system.
Assist with customer service‑related functions, including returns, order tracking, and documentation.
Qualifications
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
High Level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Self‑motivated, ability to work consistently and under minimal supervision.
Ability to locate missing products in the warehouse.
Ability to manage multiple tasks at a fast pace, in a team‑oriented environment.
A proactive, customer‑focused mindset.
Valid driver’s license.
