About You As a Veterinary Technician, you'll provide comprehensive care, ranging from outpatient treatments and laboratory tests to surgical assistance and patient admission/discharge.
Experience & Skills Requirements
Veterinary technician licensure strongly preferred.
1-2 years of clinical experience in a general practice/emergency setting.
General practice, surgical and anesthesia experience.
Superior customer service skills.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program preferred or equivalent education, training and experience.
Job Responsibilities
Monitoring critical and post-operative patients.
Strong interpersonal skills to interface with staff and clients effectively.
Consistent and reliable ability to place IV catheters, perform venipuncture, and intubate dogs and cats.
Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, and other position-related calculations.
About The Hospital Saint Francis Veterinary Center of South Jersey provides primary and urgent care to dogs and cats in Gloucester County and surrounding areas. We also offer dentistry, are accredited by the AAHA, and are a cat‑friendly practice. We have served the Delaware Valley since 1986. We are open Monday‑Sunday 8am‑8pm.
