Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Per-Diem Registered Nurse for an opening at a Medical Center in Selma, AL. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, compassionate care in a dynamic setting, managing a diverse patient population and collaborating with a skilled healthcare team.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited program.

Licensure:

Active, unencumbered RN license from the state of Alabama.

Experience:

Minimum of 6 months of RN work experience.

Technical Skills:

Current CPR certification (Basic Life Support preferred).

Soft Skills:

Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, effective communication, cultural competency, collaboration, adaptability, and a positive attitude.

Credentialing Requirements:

Clean background check, negative TB test results, annual physical, COVID-19 vaccination, and other requirements as specified by the facility or agency.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive patient care across all phases of the endoscopy experience, including pre-procedure assessment and education, intra-procedure sedation monitoring and physician assistance, and post-procedure recovery and discharge.

Safely administer and monitor moderate sedation, continuously assessing the patient's vital signs, airway, and response to medications during procedures.

Prepare, maintain, and assist in the endoscopy suite by ensuring all specialized equipment and instruments are ready, functioning properly, and handled according to strict infection control and sterile processing protocols.

Document all care accurately and completely in patient records, from initial assessment through discharge, in compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.

Collaborate effectively with the endoscopy team (physicians, technicians, and other staff) to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality patient outcomes.
