Position Overview

The Trauma Registrar fulfills an essential function of the trauma system at Albany Medical Center. The position involves collecting and entering data into the trauma registry’s computerized system, verifying the completeness of the data prior to submission to the New York State Department of Health (NYS DOH) and the National Trauma Data Bank (NTDB), and assisting with preparing reports for quality management activities and other studies as applicable. Department/Unit: Trauma/Surgery Department Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Salary Range: $51,755.37 – $77,633.06 Responsibilities

Collect and enter data into the trauma registry’s computerized system. Verify completeness of data prior to submission to NYS DOH and NTDB. Assist with preparing reports for quality management activities and other studies. Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent. At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare field. Certification/licensure in LPN, EMT, EMT‑P, or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS). Additional Information
