Overview Join the UNC Health team to provide safe, therapeutic nursing care to pediatric patients with central lines while focusing on infection prevention and optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a clinical resource for central line care and infection prevention
Conduct central line audits
Provide education related to central line insertion, maintenance, and care
Troubleshoot central line–related issues
Deliver competent, patient-centered nursing care in accordance with professional standards
Communicate effectively, positively, and professionally with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
Qualifications
Previous experience with central line care
Pediatric experience preferred
PALS certification preferred
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification
One year of nursing experience
Position Details
Full-time, 36 hours per week
Day/Evening shifts with flexible scheduling available
Salary range: $34.22 - $48.38 per hour
Location: Chapel Hill, NC
