Position: Phlebotomist 3462
Location: Linthicum MD and area (float job)
Schedule: Must be available from 6 am -7pm M-F. 1 Saturday a month. Overtime is available if willing.
Projected duration: 3 months potential for perm

This is a float job. Requires a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
Will float to Baltimore City, Annapolis, Frederick areas. Mileage expenses paid.
Minimum 2 years of experience in phlebotomy. Requires experience with all ages.
Summary: The main function of a phlebotomist is to assist in performing various assigned duties, troubleshooting, training, and making workflow recommendations.
Position Responsibilities
Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data, and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
Properly explains in a clear but courteous manner the process of venipuncture (blood drawing) and/or other specimen collection (e.g., urine or fecal) as required.
Demonstrates technique(s) using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
Fully understands all of the physician's orders.
Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.
Labels centrifuge, splits and freezes specimens as required by test order.
Checks all test requisitions or computer labels against scripts to ensure 100% correctness.
Packages specimens for transport.
Stores specimen samples according to required temperature places.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years of experience in phlebotomy
Experience with all ages
