Incumbent serves as Maintenance Mechanic Leader with the Pentagon Mechanical Systems Program, Operations & Maintenance Program under the Pentagon Building Management Office within the Federal Facilities Division (FFD), and Washington Headquarters Services Facilities (WHS) of the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD). The Maintenance Mechanic Leader performs duties related to the operation, maintenance, repair and modification of all heating, air conditioning and all mechanical equipment.
Duties This is a Direct Hire Public Notice.

This position is being filled under Direct Hire Authority (DHA) in accordance with Section 1109 of FY 2020 NDAA; P.L. 116-92 and Section 9905 of Title 5, U.S.C.

Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service (see https://www.sss.gov/Home/Registration)
May be required to successfully complete a probationary/trial period
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Required to participate in the direct deposit program
This position is subject to pre-employment and random drug testing
This is a Testing Designated Position (TDP). The incumbent must refrain from illegal drug use and submit to urinalysis testing if required. The selectee must sign a statement acknowledging the TDP designation.
The employee assigned to this position is designated as a MISSION ESSENTIAL EMPLOYEE. Mission essential employees may be required to report for, or remain at, work in dismissal or closure situations.
The incumbent is required to pass a pre-employment and yearly physical examination for this position.
The incumbent is required to wear protective equipment, ie., arc flash rated suit, Tyvek suits and respirators, while working in hazardous areas.
This position requires wearing a uniform in the performance of duties.
The incumbent may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays and/or overtime.
