The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of rotating equipment by providing technical expertise in troubleshooting, repairs, quality control, and reliability improvement. The role promotes SSHE standards, leads failure analysis and bad actor resolution, supports predictive maintenance, and collaborates closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and external vendors. Project Responsibilities: Repair scoping and execution support, MOC implementation, RCFA participation, equipment record stewardship, spare parts management, and support for projects, turnarounds, commissioning, and continuous improvement initiatives across rotating equipment systems. Assist in failure analysis and resolution of persistent problem equipment (“bad actors”). Lead or support quality assurance, quality control and reliability improvement projects. Must Haves
Experience working in the Oil & Gas or LNG industry. Strong background in equipment troubleshooting, especially for persistent problem equipment (“bad actors”). Repair scoping and evaluating repair alternatives. Experience creating and maintaining repair and installation procedures for specialized equipment. Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and available to both internal machinists and external repair shops. Proven experience in QA/QC, particularly within maintenance and turnaround projects.
