Position Summary Keller is actively searching for a qualified Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our successful geotechnical construction team. Keller is one of the largest geotechnical construction companies in the United States offering competitive wages and opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

Perform truck, trailer, and heavy diesel equipment repair and maintenance.

Efficiently perform electrical and hydraulic diagnostics.

Maintain and troubleshoot heavy drill rigs (Klemm, SoilMec, and/or Watson) used in geotechnical construction, concrete pumps, air compressors, generators, and other heavy diesel equipment.

Safe operation of basic heavy equipment including forklifts, wheeled front end loaders, and excavators (plus a valid CDL license).

Perform basic labor tasks when not assigned to typical mechanic operations, including extensive physical activity.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of heavy equipment repair experience.

Hands‑on mechanic experience.

Self‑motivated and willing to travel.

Strong in electrical and hydraulic systems.

Ability to read and navigate electric and hydraulic schematic and pilot system circuits.

Knowledge of E‑Stop systems, machine maintenance, operating controls and functions.

Ability to work in a team environment with interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to perform physical labor and other strenuous tasks, including bending, kneeling, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.

Comfortable working outdoors in a high‑stress environment with extreme weather fluctuations.

Ability to work in confined and cluttered spaces.

Capable of climbing and keeping balance on uneven areas.

Prior OSHA, First Aid, and/or Safety Training preferred.

Specific experience working on equipment typically found in geotechnical construction is a plus.

Education and Certifications Must be a high school graduate or demonstrate equivalent training. ASE Certification and basic computer skills to perform service reporting are desirable but not required. Must possess all required Class I Mechanic hand tools.

Salary and Benefits Salary Range : $30 - $40 per hour. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant internal and external experience, knowledge, skills, scope of job, geographical location or other factors permitted by law.
