What We Offer Novant Health Lakeside Family Rosedale is seeking a PRN Radiology Technician. The Radiologic Technologist I works independently, assisting physicians in diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures by preparing patients and operating X‑ray equipment to obtain diagnostic images in the ambulatory setting.
Responsibilities
Performs direct patient care: collects data to determine correct procedure/protocol, screens for medication reconciliation and allergy confirmation, reviews orders for clarity, and assists physicians in radiology procedures.
Maintains professional competencies and complies with educational and credentialing requirements; keeps clinical competencies up to date based on departmental policies and protocols; works with radiologists to develop and maintain standard protocols for routine procedures.
Moves patients from wheelchair or stretcher to imaging table and positions them for best imaging results; may need lift equipment or a support board; sometimes two people required for safety; this may occur 10 to 20 times a day.

Knowledgeable with electronic information systems and PACs; interprets and records patient information; utilizes Novant telephone etiquette and customer service skills.
Safety: follows radiation safety guidelines; follows policies to prevent infectious disease spread; follows First Do No Harm culture.
Teamwork & Professionalism: adheres to Service Excellence Standards promoting a cooperative work environment using communication skills, interpersonal relations, and teamwork; exhibits a professional image and is courteous, helpful, and aware of customer needs.
Qualifications
Graduate of an ARRT‑approved Radiography Program; certification required within 6 months of hire.
Associate Degree (2‑year) preferred.
Minimum of one year experience in diagnostic radiology.
ARRT licensure required.
Thorough knowledge of radiographic equipment and accessories; analytical ability and basic computer skills; ability to adapt care to patient age; excellent communication skills; capable of functioning alone in diagnostic rooms.
