Starting Hourly: $16.50 - $16.90 per hour

Position : Physical Therapy Technician – Part‑time, Folsom location Schedule needed: Monday & Wednesday 9:30 am – 6:30 pm & Fridays as needed, 16‑20 hours per week.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Prepare treatment room for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols.

Assist patients with physical therapy apparel and comfort.

Maintain an ample supply of clean linens; do laundry as required.

Record daily notes under direct supervision and with co‑signature.

Provide information to patients and answer questions.

Help treat patients by applying ice or heat packs, guiding them onto exercise equipment, monitoring motion, and performing prescribed exercises as requested by PT.

Demonstrate proper use of equipment and exercise routines to educate patients.

Maintain patient confidentiality and a safe, clean working environment.

Sterilize and deliver equipment and supplies to the treatment area; position equipment for therapist access.

Ensure operation of physical therapy equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.

Manage supplies inventory, checking stock levels and communicating needs to the person in charge.

Accept ownership of new and different requests and explore opportunities to add value to the job.

Collect garbage at the end of each working day.

Report any issues needing resolution to Physical Therapists.

Answer incoming phone calls before they route to voicemail; triage calls to provide a five‑star patient experience and assist with appointment cancellations or reschedules, intake forms, and detailed messages.

Assist with scheduling appointments to ensure efficient and timely access to care.

Collect 100% of co‑pays/deductibles and payments prior to patients being seen by the provider per established policies and procedures.

Schedule new evaluations accurately and in alignment with clinic protocols.

During uncovered hours at the front desk, provide support with patient check‑in, co‑pay collection, phone triage, and scheduling.

Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS

High School diploma or equivalent; college degree in a related health field preferred.

Prior experience in customer service.

Strong customer service skills and ability to maintain confidential documents.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Effective communication skills, both oral and written, in a variety of settings.

Active listening and problem‑solving abilities.

Team player with a positive, friendly attitude toward patients.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Raintree PMS is a plus.

Physical ability to sit for prolonged periods, bend, stoop, and stretch; normal hearing and vision to operate office equipment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Requires eye‑hand coordination and manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, mouse, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and present reports.
