Physical Therapy Technician – Full Time

We are looking for a full‑time Physical Therapy Technician for our Manteca location.
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM; Friday, 8:00 AM – Noon or 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
Starting hourly: $16.90 per hour.
Responsibilities
Prepare the treatment room for patients following prescribed procedures and protocols.
Assist patients into physical therapy apparel (shorts, gowns, etc.) and provide comfort.
Do laundry, maintaining an ample supply of clean linens.
Record daily notes under direct supervision and with co‑signature.
Answer patient questions and provide information.
Help treat patients by applying ice or heat packs, assisting onto exercise equipment, monitoring motion, tracking walking time and distance; perform prescribed exercises and strengthening techniques as requested by PT.
Educate patients by demonstrating proper use of equipment and exercise routines.
Keep patient information confidential to maintain confidence and protect operations.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Provide equipment and supplies to the treatment area; sterilize and deliver equipment and supplies, position equipment for therapists and position patients on equipment.
Ensure operation of physical therapy equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
Maintain physical therapy supplies inventory by checking stock levels, anticipating needed supplies, and communicating to the person in charge or ordering.
Enhance the department’s reputation by taking ownership of new requests, exploring opportunities to add value, and being a team player.
Collect garbage at the end of each working day.
Report any issues needing resolution to Physical Therapists.
Proactively answer incoming phone calls before they route to voicemail, triage each call to ensure a five‑star patient experience by appropriately assisting with appointment cancellations or reschedules, completing intake forms, or taking detailed messages for the Therapist or PCC as needed.
Assist with scheduling appointments for patients within the clinic to ensure efficient and timely access to care.
Assist in collecting 100% of co‑pays/deductibles and payments prior to patient being seen by provider per established policies and procedures.
Assist in scheduling new evaluations accurately and in alignment with clinic protocols.
During uncovered hours at front desk, occasionally provide support focusing on checking in patients, collecting co‑pays, answering and triagingfirphone calls, and scheduling patients appropriately.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience with Raintree PMS is a plus.
Strong customer service skills.
Ability to maintain confidential documents.
Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in a variety of settings.
Ability to actively listen and solicit feedback from others.
Problem‑solving skills.
Team‑player attributes, able to maintain a positive and friendly atmosphere with patients.
Education and Experience High School diploma or equivalent. College degree in a related health field preferred.
Prior experience in customer service.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye‑hand coordination and manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, mouse, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and present reports.
