Overview This Behavioral Health Care Manager (BCBA) will deliver high‑quality behavioral health services to IEHP members with autism, developmental disabilities, and severe behavioral needs.
Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of services for members, including program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Review service requests, apply clinical criteria, and authorise treatment plans to ensure coordinated care.
Provide call support, case management, care coordination, and referral support as needed.
Collaborate with team members, families, community agencies, and the HCO medical team.
Model IEHP principles of relationship-based care and promote education about behavioral health.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including HEDIS, CAHPS, and NCQA Accreditation programs.
Qualifications
Three (3) years of experience serving individuals with autism, developmental or intellectual disabilities.
Significant experience reviewing Behavioral Health Treatment Plans and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field with ABA specialization.
Active, unrestricted Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
Preferred: Experience leading a team; experience in an HMO or psychiatric facility; familiarity with managed care and discharge planning; bilingual written and verbal communication skills.
Key Skills & Knowledge
Deep knowledge of Autism and Applied Behavioral Analysis.
Strong communication skills, including Motivational Interviewing and empathy-based strategies.
Ability to work effectively with diverse cultural communities and integrated health systems.
Proficiency with electronic medical management systems and Microsoft Office.
Demonstrated ability to lead, support teamwork, and manage high‑ambiguity environments.
