Job Summary Provides physical therapy services to patients who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease or other causes with some guidance. Actively collaborates with the health care/educational team to meet patient care, outcomes and system improvement objectives.
About the Role Join Vanderbilt Health's Continuity of Care Wellness Team, delivering exceptional physical therapy services to Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) staff in a state-of-the-art wellness center. This unique role combines clinical expertise with a holistic approach to health and wellness.

Monday-Friday | 10:00 AM-7:00 PM | No Holidays Setting:
On-site at MNPS Wellness Center
As a Physical Therapist, you will provide 45‑minute one‑on‑one sessions in both a dedicated physical therapy space and a full gym facility. You'll treat a wide range of orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions, using advanced equipment that supports evidence‑based practice—including hand dynamometers, blood flow restriction (BFR) tools, and soft tissue instruments.
You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create personalized care plans and promote long‑term wellness strategies for adult patients who have impairments, functional limitations, or changes in physical function due to injury, disease, or other causes.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver one‑on‑one, 45‑minute evidence‑based physical therapy sessions in a physical therapy and gym setting
Treat orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions using advanced rehab tools
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create personalized treatment plans
Educate patients on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and long‑term wellness strategies
Maintain documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
Participate in mentorship, quality improvement, and departmental initiatives
Support and mentor students and new team members
Qualifications
Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in Tennessee (or eligibility)
Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred; orthopedic experience a plus
Strong communication and time‑management skills
Commitment to evidence‑based practice and patient‑centered care
