Job Summary: As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at our Buckhead office in Atlanta, GA you will be dedicated to delivering exceptional outpatient patient care in a collaborative setting. Your primary responsibilities will encompass conducting diagnostic evaluations and administering targeted treatment, drawing from an array of evidence‑based treatment interventions and diverse therapeutic modalities, including individual, family, marital, and group psychotherapies. In this role, you will engage with clients, conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, and construct individualized therapy plans to effectively address their unique challenges. Your caseload may encompass individuals grappling with substance abuse issues, depression, anxiety, or eating disorders, necessitating experience across a broad spectrum of patient profiles and conditions.
Responsibilities
Receives referrals from physicians and mid‑levels.
Perform initial evaluations of client needs and develop customized treatment plans.
Provide counseling/talk therapy to scheduled patients utilizing professional counseling standards.
Formulates differential diagnosis of mild to moderate mental health conditions and/or substance abuse.
Formulates short‑term and long‑term counseling plans for patients under care.
Consults with medical director and other providers regarding complex patients and prescription medication prescribing.
Identify patients with urgent mental health conditions (e.g., suicidal, homicidal, psychotic) and make appropriate referrals to available emergency or psychiatric treatment facilities.
Provide written documents of counseling sessions, assessments, interventions.
Prepares and conducts group counseling utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
Assist Medical Director in developing protocols for DWA counseling services.
Establishes systematic follow‑up for evaluation of the plan of care and reassesses and modifies the plan, as necessary, including initiation of referrals and consultation with other health care providers as appropriate.
Assures patient and family teaching is adequate to manage the treatment plan.
Maintain appropriate documentation of clinical and counseling services, including all necessary billing information.
Education
Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field required.
Certifications
Licensed as one of the following LPC, LCSW, LMFT, MSW, or APC in the respective State.
Experience/Requirements
Experience as a clinical mental health counselor.
Proficiency in delivering psychotherapy and counseling to individuals and groups.
Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and evidence‑based interventions.
Must be able to communicate onsite to Buckhead, GA office.
Physical Requirements
Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.
May require periods of sitting, standing and the ability to walk to various locations throughout the health system to attend meetings.
Must have normal or corrected vision and be able to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person.
Salary Description: $65,000‑$95,000/year. The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for this position. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set, and education. This is not inclusive of the value of ARC Health Partner's benefits package, which includes, among other benefits, healthcare/dental/vision, and retirement.
