Maintenance Supervisor Responsibilities:

Supervising and coordinating maintenance technicians across all shifts, setting priorities and ensuring adequate coverage.

Driving preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime, control costs, and minimize equipment failures.

Providing hands‑on support on the floor (approx. 50% of the role), including weekend coverage as needed.

Overseeing equipment reliability, facility upkeep, spare parts inventory, and vendor/contractor performance.

Coaching and developing maintenance staff through technical training feedback, and performance evaluations to build skills and accountability.

Ensuring compliance with food safety, workplace safety, and regulatory requirements while fostering a safe work environment.

Leading Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and equipment reliability initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Monitoring maintenance expenses, managing purchase orders, and providing accurate repair/cost estimates for business decisions.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED.

At least 6 years of experience in a lead or supervisory maintenance role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Demonstrated knowledge across multiple maintenance disciplines, including electrical systems, PLC automation, lubrication, and mechanical transmissions.

Proficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to make accurate repair/replace decisions and deliver reliable cost and time estimates.

Preferred Additional Qualifications or Experience:

Associate's degree in mechanical, chemical, or electrical engineering; or 4 years of relevant experience, as an equivalent.

Technical or trade certifications a plus, especially HVAC certification.

6+ years of leadership experience in a food manufacturing environment.

NFPA 70E certification (electrical safety in the workplace).
