Summary/Objective The HR Policy Specialist is responsible for developing, standardizing, and maintaining HR policies and procedures that support consistent and compliant practices across Lancer’s global footprint. This role ensures all policies align with applicable local, state, federal, and international regulations, while partnering closely with cross-functional teams and regional HR leaders to identify gaps, drive improvements, and strengthen alignment. The position plays a critical role in documentation, communication, and global training efforts to ensure employees and leaders understand and adhere to standards.
Key Performance Indicators
Ensure timely policy/procedure revision (every 2 years or as required by JSOX/audits).
Achieve zero findings related to HR Policies/Procedures during internal or external audits.
Identify and propose policy/procedure changes that will improve employee engagement.
Essential Functions
Partner with internal/external stakeholders to draft, revise, and standardize HR policies and procedures across regions.
Maintain and update the global HR policy repository, ensuring accessibility and version control.
Monitor legislative and regulatory changes across jurisdictions, recommending necessary policy updates.
Develop supporting tools (FAQs, guidelines, templates) that help teams apply policies consistently.
Support change management and communication strategies related to HR policies.
Develop plans pertaining to policy rollouts, including training sessions and employee notifications, for local execution.
Assist in internal audits and compliance reviews tied to HR practices and documentation.
Act as a point of contact for policy/procedure-related inquiries and clarification across global teams.
Additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
Experience writing or interpreting HR policies and procedures preferred.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation skills.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across time zones.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent years’ direct experience in lieu of degree, required.
Two (2) years’ experience in an HR Generalist role required.
Employment Law certification preferred.
Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. The employee is exposed to outside weather conditions at the manufacturing site. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
