About Us Located in Fort Pierce, FL, the Warren Heim Division of National Safety Apparel manufactures canvas and vinyl bags and specialty products. We firmly believe that a product is only as good as the quality of the materials that go into its fabrication, the thinking and experience behind its design, and the integrity of its maker.
Position Summary The Sewing Machine Operator / Production Support role is a versatile position responsible for both sewing operations and supporting various production tasks across the facility. This position involves preparing, assembling, and sewing high-quality canvas and vinyl products, as well as performing other hands‑on and support tasks as needed to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
Prepare items for sewing on heavy-duty machines by flipping bags (inside‑out or outside‑in, depending on type) and installing rings
Operate a variety of heavy‑duty, long‑arm sewing machines to sew tool bag bottoms and bag rings
Learn correct assembly steps for a wide variety of products
Operate RF welding machines to weld vinyl for bucket covers and oil spill bags
Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on all operated equipment
Support other production tasks as needed, including shipping/receiving, parts kitting, and cross‑training in other manufacturing processes
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
Requirements Experience (Preferred)
Industrial sewing experience
Manufacturing experience
Forklift experience
Language
English (preferred)
Ability to Commute/Relocate
Must reliably commute to Fort Pierce, FL 34946 or plan to relocate prior to starting work
