We have a vast and ever-evolving portfolio of brands primed to play an important part in everything from modernizing infrastructure around the world to enabling the next generation of electric and autonomous vehicles.**Job Description:**We are currently looking for a **Filling and Packaging Operator** to join us at our facility in **Brighton, MI**.**SUMMARY**:Filling, labeling, and packaging of products according to written packaging requirement list. Working alone or with team members to operate or tend machines to prepare industrial refinishing products for storage and shipment.**Key responsibilities:*** Filling Labeling, and packaging of products, according to established guidelines and standards, in a safe and efficient manner.* Proper completion of job sheets with correct counts.* Attach identification labels to finished packaged items, or cut stencils and stencil information on containers, such as lot numbers or shipping destinations.* Sort, grade, weigh, and inspect products, verifying and adjusting product weight or measurement to meet specifications.* Machine set up and teardown.
Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor.* Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards.* Remove finished packaged items from machine and separate rejected items.* Operation of powered pallet jack.* General housekeeping of work area.* Adhere to all safety rules and regulations of the organization, including reporting hazards, incidents, or accidents.**Key requirements:*** Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.* Problem Solving skills.* Ability to speak effectively and communicate with Supervisor and co-workers of organization.* High school diploma or general education degree (GED).* Other hard qualifications (e.g., key knowledge needed, technologies, etc. – not soft skills)**Preferred qualifications:*** Preferred Experience – Knowledge of Production processes and quality.* Preferred Education – High school diploma or GED equivalent* Preferred Certifications (if applicable) – ISO Knowledge**Our Company:**Axalta has remained at the forefront of the coatings industry by continually investing in innovative solutions.
