2025-16186**Job Title: Master Mechanic / Maintenance Lead****Industry: Manufacturing (Paint, Coatings, Chemicals)****Job #: 2025-16186****Location: Houston, TX****Salary: $35 Hourly****Shift/Schedule: Monday thru Friday (7:00am to 3:30pm)****Education: High School Diploma (Minimum)****Citizenship: US Citizens or Green Card Holders (No Exceptions)****Background: Must be able pass a Background Check & Drug Test (No Exceptions)****Experience: 7-10 Industrial Maintenance experience is required. 3 years minimum Lead or Supervisory experience on the Industrial Maintenance side.****Position Summary:**The Master Mechanic / Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing maintenance activities and ensuring the reliability, safety, and optimal performance of all production equipment. This position requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, hands-on experience with powder coating systems, extrusion lines, and grinding operations, as well as leadership ability to supervise maintenance personnel and coordinate cross-functional repairs and improvements.* **Key Responsibilities**

+ Lead, train, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians to support daily production operations.

+ Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on equipment including:

- Powder coating booths, ovens, and conveyor systems

- Extrusion machines and associated feed systems

- Grinders, mixers, and dust collection systems

+ Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues and implement effective solutions.

+ Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.

+ Coordinate with production, safety, and quality departments to ensure equipment reliability and compliance.

+ Plan and schedule maintenance work orders, spare parts usage, and machine overhauls.

+ Maintain maintenance logs, service records, and equipment performance documentation.

+ Recommend and implement process improvements for efficiency, safety, and quality.

+ Ensure all work is performed in accordance with OSHA, NFPA, and plant safety standards.

+ Participate in capital project planning, installation, and equipment commissioning.**Qualifications:*** **Experience:** Minimum 7–10 years of industrial maintenance experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or lead mechanic role.* **Technical Knowledge:**

+ Strong background in mechanical systems, industrial electrical, and PLC basics.

+ Demonstrated expertise in powder coating equipment, extrusion lines, and grinding systems.

+ Welding, fabrication, and machining experience preferred.* **Education:** Technical degree, certification, or equivalent hands-on experience in industrial maintenance or mechanical engineering.* **Skills:**

+ Strong leadership and team coordination skills.

+ Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.

+ Proficient with CMMS systems, maintenance scheduling, and parts inventory management.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

+ Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.* **Physical & Work Environment Requirements**

+ Work performed in a manufacturing plant environment with exposure to powder coatings, heat, and noise.

+ Must be able to stand, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs.
