Job Overview
Fairview is now hiring a Breast Imaging and Interventional Technologist for our University of Minnesota Health Clinic and Surgery Center in Minneapolis, MN. This is a .8 FTE (64 hours per 2 weeks) position that works Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM. No weekends. Responsibilities
Maintains patient care Performs examinations Identifies relevant data from images accurately Verifies patient identification and documentation Communicates with and educates patients regarding pertinent information during all aspects of the exam Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol Ensures patient data integrity Accurate film identification and jacket preparation or digital image manipulation and archiving Orients and mentors new employees and students Participates in department/facility process and quality improvement initiatives Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for the position Correctly operates equipment according to accepted standards and guidelines Identifies and responds to equipment problems to ensure equipment is in working order according to department guidelines Accepts new technology as it is introduced into the facility Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level of the population served Modifies clinical interventions based on the population served Provides patient education based on an assessment of learning needs of the patient or caregiver Required Qualifications
