Position Summary
Provides the imaging center team with nursing-related services within scope of practice required for patient care.
Primary Position Responsibilities
Assists physician with direct patient care duties and carries out physician orders. Provides vital signs, weights and heights, and status of medications and allergies.
Prepares for office visits, obtains test results and reports.
Reports abnormalities or instability of patient’s condition.
Performs ECGs and assists in exercise stress testing.
Applies and sends Holter monitors to reporting system.
Qualifications
Minimum Education – High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education – None
Minimum Years of Experience – None
Preferred Years of Experience – Certification as a Medical Assistant
License, Registry or Certification – Required: None; Preferred: To become certified as a Medical Assistant
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities – Required: Proficient in vital signs, performing EKGs and basic computer skills; Preferred: None
