Job Summary By joining our BV Construction group, you will develop and enhance your skills in an on‑site, hands‑on environment. We provide expert training, career development, and advancement opportunities. Our management is committed to the latest advances in technology, support and sustainability to deliver the best service in safety, quality and final product. Functions include safety, project field management, construction management, quality control, start‑up and decommissioning and field engineering. This appointment requires travel.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the EPC contractor’s Construction Execution Plan and monitor progress.

Coordinate erection activities, suppliers, direct‑hire craft labor, subcontractors, startup and testing.

Manage overall construction cost to established budgets and review monthly budget, schedule and quality performance.

Implement project controls processes, negotiate labor agreements and maintain relationships with clients, owners, alliance partners, craft labor, subcontractors and suppliers.

Assist the Project Field Manager in leading the site construction management team and mentoring staff.

Ensure EPC contractors adhere to safety and quality programs.

Direct commissioning and testing plans and ensure required resources are provided.

Monitor field materials management procedures for compliance with OEM storage and maintenance.

Approve extra work authorizations, subcontractor progress and final payments, B&V professional timesheets and expense reimbursements.

Manage change orders for EPC contracts and coordinate with the Project Field Manager to execute them in agreement with the owner.

Resolve back charges, collect construction records and conduct contract close‑out activities.

Establish field staffing needs and provide staff to the project field office.

Maintain adherence to Safety, Quality, Ethical Standards, Lessons Learned and Performance Management programs per B&V policies.

Act as project field manager for a multi‑discipline project team.

Perform related duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of construction technology (Simple Cycle, Combined Cycle, Generators).

Experience managing subcontractors and knowledge of steam and combustion turbines.

Understanding of the EPC industry, constructability, project budget process and tools, and project controls.

Risk assessment, administrative policy, and construction project management systems expertise.

Conceptual planning, conflict management, leadership, multi‑tasking, presentation, problem‑solving, project management, supervisory and communication skills.

Proficiency in time and expense reporting systems.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering or related field preferred, or relevant field experience.

At least 14 years construction supervisory experience, with a minimum of 3 years as a construction manager.

OSHA training required.

Ability to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements (criminal/civil background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search).

Work Environment / Physical Demands Physical Demands:

Lift and carry heavy items up to 50 pounds.

Stand, kneel, bend, stoop, move and walk long distances in confined, cluttered areas and uneven ground.

General visual and auditory acuity required.

Full range of motion and flexibility required.

Repetitive hand movements and use of tools expected.

Work above 5 feet in height may be required.

Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds.

Work up to a 12‑hour shift, including hard physical labor in varying temperatures and weather.

Work Environment:

Typical construction site with cramped spaces, awkward positions, hot (above 90 °F) or cold (below 32 °F) temperatures, dust, wind, snow, rain, bright or low lighting and noise.

Potential exposure to hazardous equipment.

Typical office environment may also be encountered.

This position is considered a safety‑sensitive position.
