Summary
Fairfield Property Management is currently seeking a motivated Assistant Maintenance Technician to join our team! As an Assistant Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that vacated apartments are restored to "market ready" condition on schedule, while also assisting with general maintenance tasks for the property's interior and exterior upkeep.
Responsibilities
Inspect vacated apartments and complete checklist regarding make‑ready status.
Perform make‑ready tasks including general plumbing, basic electrical work, minor drywall repairs, window screen and blind, replace light bulbs/switches, garbage disposal upkeep, ceiling fans, rekey locks, etc.
Install appliances such as stoves, refrigerators, washers/dryers, toilets, sinks, vanities, disposal units, caulking, gutters, downspouts, and hose connections.
Replace light bulbs and other fixtures as needed throughout units and property exterior.
Assist in general property upkeep by removing trash and debris from grounds.
Perform pool maintenance including cleaning, chemical checks, and adjustments.
Conduct work in accordance with Fairfield Property Management policies and procedures safely.
Monitor property condition, report unusual circumstances.
Inspect grounds, buildings, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances, and major equipment regularly.
Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, supplies.
Qualifications
Minimum six months of professional maintenance experience, preferably on residential property.
Working knowledge of HVAC and pool maintenance strongly preferred.
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and painting procedures.
Ability to work an on‑call schedule.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
