About the Role We're hiring an experienced Diesel Mechanic to work on a variety of specialized vacuum trucks, jetters, and heavy-duty service vehicles. If you have a deep understanding of diesel diagnostics, hydraulics, and electrical systems—and want autonomy while working with a high-performance team—this position is for you.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair diesel engines, electrical systems, and hydraulic components with minimal supervision
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and safety inspections
Keep meticulous digital records of work performed and parts used
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and efficiency in the shop and yard
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior mechanics as needed
Communicate proactively with fleet management and operations staff
What You Bring
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of heavy-duty diesel mechanic experience required; prior fleet maintenance experience is strongly preferred
Technical Skills: Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting experience with engines, DEF systems, and aftertreatment; must supply own tools
Hydraulic & Electrical Systems: Must be proficient in hydraulic and electrical repair
Equipment Knowledge: Experience with vacuum trucks, hydro-excavators, or municipal fleet equipment a strong plus
Licensing: Valid Driver’s License required; CDL Class B or willingness to obtain within 6 months preferred
Independence: Ability to work with minimal supervision and handle multiple priorities
Communication: Bilingual a plus
