Registered Nurse RN Assistant Manager - ICU
Location:
Destin, FL – Hospital: Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast, Department: Nursing Specialty, Schedule: Full time days.
Job Overview The Assistant Manager will supervise, coordinate, and provide leadership for nursing associates in critical care areas.
Key Responsibilities
Assess daily patient access needs and ensure appropriate patient care is provided, providing oversight throughout nursing department operations.
Deliver quality patient care and ensure implementation of clinical objectives.
Delegate appropriate duties to clinical staff based on their assessed skills and abilities, maintaining proficiency through ongoing monitoring of daily operations.
Collaborate with department leadership to ensure processes are up to date and followed.
Participate in ongoing quality initiatives, auditing projects and developing plans for improvement.
Conduct hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff.

Requirements
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date (accepted by American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
Advanced Life Support obtained within 1 month of hire date (accepted by American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
Required professional licensure/certification and one year of cumulative job‑specific experience.
At least 3 years of leadership experience and 3 years of critical care experience.
Successful candidates must have BLS and ACLS; 2 years of critical care and 3 years of leadership experience preferred.
