Overview Under the direction of an RN or LPN, the PCA assists in the individualized care of patients to achieve the highest level of wellness. The role requires teamwork and empathy, performing clinical procedures and non‑clinical support tasks essential to patient care.
Position Details
Full‑time & part‑time nights available.
Rotating holidays & weekends.
Neuroscience / Neurosurgical department.

Training
Patient Care Associate training program is an accredited Department of Labor Apprenticeship Program, providing comprehensive, hands‑on experience.
For those with no previous experience, a required 175‑hour training program is provided and must be completed within 90 days of hire to remain in the PCA position per state guidelines.
BLS required within one month of hire; completion of PCA competencies within three months of hire.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma, GED, CNA/CPTC, or enrolled in a healthcare career program through high school curriculum.
Experience: None required.
Minimum Physical Requirements
Push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Prolonged standing and walking each shift.
Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
Preferred Certifications: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
