Position Summary
Under minimal supervision, provides nursing care for a group of patients assigned to the nurse based on matching the patients' needs with the nurse's competencies. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA)
AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire
AHA ACLS within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (LABOR & DELIVERY); should be completed before the end of the orientation period
AHA NRP within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (LABOR & DELIVERY or any nurse floated into L&D); should be completed before the end of the orientation period
Fetal Monitoring – L&D and Antepartum: Novice RNs are required to complete GNOSIS introduction to Fetal Heart Monitoring within 30 days from hire or transfer to unit and AWHONN Intermediate Heart Monitoring with 8 months of L&D Orientation. Experienced L&D RNs (>1 yr experience) must have AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring on hire or within the first 90 days of hire
S.T.A.B.L.E. – Level 2 Nursery: Should provide proof of prior completion or obtain within 6 months of hire or transfer date into unit (Renewal not required)
AHA PALS within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (PEDIATRICS)
Legal Tenet complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce. If you are offered this position and must be vaccinated under any applicable law, you will be required to show proof of full vaccination or obtain an approval of a religious or medical exemption prior to your start date.
