What You Will Do As A Hospice Aide At Dignity Care, a Home Health Hospice Aide career is more than a job or "a calling" it's a chance to leave a legacy of service and love on someone's life. As a Hospice Aide, you will be responsible for observing patients, reporting/documenting these observations and care performed. Some of your primary responsibilities will include:
Providing personal care to patients including, bathing, changing bed linens, assisting with dressing, etc.
Preparing nutritious meals and assisting in feeding
Taking vitals such as, temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
Assisting in ambulation and exercise according to the plan of care
Performing range of motion and other simple procedures as needed
Assisting patients in the self-administration of medications
Reporting on patients' conditions and significant changes to the RN

Education, Licensure & Certification Requirements
Meets training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws
Must have a valid STNA license in the state of Ohio
18 years of age or older
Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
Active CPR certification
