Overview
The Administrative Assistant reports daily to the Tampa Site Coordinator/Executive Administrative Assistant and works with the Assistant Dean or Chair – Tampa, Nursing Program Directors and Faculty of Nursing. Responsible for general office duties, general incoming and outgoing contact associated with the School of Nursing, including in person, e-mail and telephone inquiries, maintaining records, working with students, working with faculty, and assisting the Office of Academic Affairs and others as needed.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma
Two years of office experience and/or some formal clerical training
Preferred Qualifications
Two years of college
Job Duties
Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students and to the community at large
Promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff and students
Participate on University committees
Assist the Dean of Nursing, the Program Directors, and the Nursing Faculty in carrying out work as appointed
Assist the Dean and others with maintaining effective office organizational and management procedures in accordance with University policies
Maintain records, reports, and other documents that support SACS Criteria for Accreditation and standards and guidelines for individual program approval/accreditation
Store and maintain student files in an appropriate and confidential manner
Perform duties as necessary to manage a successful nursing pinning ceremony each spring
Promote effective fiscal management
Maintain accurate and accountable records
Establish and maintain program and department documents
Coordinate annual inventory reports for departments
Perform general office duties of word processing, filing, scheduling appointments, processing expense reports and other forms as necessary
Collecting data for files, duplication, distribution of mail, maintaining adequate inventory of supplies and assisting in completion of required institutional and program budgeting, assessment and strategic planning reports necessary for the operation and advancement of the University
Knowledge & compliance with ADA, FERPA, and HIPAA
Complete required institutional, program accreditation and other reports necessary for the advancement of University programs, both on campus and at extended campus sites
Perform other duties as assigned
