Registered Nurse (RN) position in Medical/Surgical specialty.

Start date of 12/8 - Non Negotiable.

Work 36 or 48 hours per week.

Job Requirements

Must have current nursing license verified through Nursys within 30 days prior to start.

Completion of Ascension Medical Surgical Exam prior to start and updated every 3 years thereafter with minimum 80% score.

Completion of Ascension Core Competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission -NPSG, OSHA Topics within a year of start and updated yearly with minimum 80% score.

Completion of Ascension EKG Exam with passing score of at least 80% prior to clearance.

Completion of Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation and Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding.

Completion of Ascension Nova StatStrip pre-hire modules prior to clearance.

Completion of Ascension Cerner Test-Out with signed attestation.

Documentation of two MMR vaccines or positive IGG Titer; no declinations accepted.

Fit Test required for all travelers, preferred prior to start, can be completed onsite; updated annually.

Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination.

Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement.

Positive PPD requires negative chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire.

Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually.

Documentation of two Varicella vaccines, serological evidence of immunity, or history of varicella/herpes zoster; no declinations accepted.

Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted.

Driver's License or State ID must be current and match address on file.

2 Step PPD or IGRA testing required with specific timing prior to start; TB questionnaire updated annually.

Completion of Ascension Skills Checklist within one year of start and updated annually for specialty.

12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start and updated annually thereafter.

Verification of education relevant to clinical work within 90 days of start.

Third-party employment verification for past seven years.

Completion of criminal background check including Social Security Trace, Employment Verification, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, and others within 30 days of first assignment.

Completion of EPLS check within 90 days of start.

Schedule Information

Work schedule options of 36 or 48 hours per week.

Flu season is October 1 through March 31; exemptions accepted with mask requirement.

Ascension Influenza Vaccine Exemption/Declination is optional but requires mask if declined.

Ascension Exit Survey to be completed within 72 hours after assignment completion.

Ascension Unit Specific Checklist is optional for onboarding but must be uploaded by unit leader within a week.

Hiring Manager Evaluation is optional post-assignment.

Legal documentation of name change is optional.
