$46.11 Minimum Starting Base Pay*

*Qualifications may warrant greater starting base pay within the full pay range. Individual base pay is determined by experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
This position is responsible for planning, directing and implementing a comprehensive technical training program in support of the Cooperative’s strategic initiatives.
Develop, and deliver approved industry standard technical training and assessments for the Apprenticeship Program including classroom and field training
Provide effective training programs to apprentices, journeyworkers and management in a classroom and/or field environment
Obtain and maintain appropriate certifications to conduct trainings
Serve as a mentor to support and provide guidance for various levels of instruction
Identify skill deficiencies and recommend approach to address deficiencies
Coordinate and document training for electrically qualified positions and progressions
Develop and deliver technical training recommendations
Serve as the technical training subject matter expert in partnership with the management team
Recommend training improvement programs to management
Represent the Cooperative at external professional venues and functions
Travel to district offices and deliver training programs
Transport mobile training lab to training locations
Demonstrate acceptable techniques to apprentices and journeyworkers
Maintain the ability to demonstrate industry specific skills, i.e. climbing, pole top rescue, etc.
Operate PEC vehicle(s) for business purposes in accordance with applicable Federal, State, and local law and PEC policies and procedures
Maintain driver eligibility through appropriate valid Texas Driver’s License and driving record in accordance with PEC policy
Maintain the security of confidential information
Stay abreast of advances in technology
Demonstrate regular and prompt attendance
Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned
Supervisory and/or Leadership Responsibilities May provide technical direction to others
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of using computer systems, which may include setting up and using hardware and software programs, entering data or processing information
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service
Knowledge of electrical theory and OSHA regulations, NESC, NFPA 70E
Skilled in time management
Skilled in prioritizing and managing changing priorities
Ability to serve as a positive role model and mentor
Ability to effectively train others in a classroom and field environment
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to listen and understand information verbally and in writing
Ability to anticipate, identify, analyze and resolve conflict and problems
Minimum Qualifications - (Education, Experience)
High School Diploma or equivalent
Five years experience as an Apprentice 4 or DOL certified Journeyworker
Valid Texas Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and Motor Vehicle Report that comply with PEC policy

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud
Exempt employees receive a fixed bi-weekly salary to compensate them for all hours worked during each pay period
This position may be required to work more than 40 hours per week
