Job Overview Serves as the Infection Preventionist for all Trinitas Regional Medical Center sites.
Responsibilities
Identification and implementation of infection prevention goals and objectives of TRMC
Works in collaboration with medical and nursing teams and other stakeholders to develop a program that promotes sound and scientific infection prevention principles and practices.
Develops policies governing control of infections and communicable diseases
Implements policies governing control of infections and communicable diseases
Conducts surveillance through identifying, reporting, investigating and controlling infections and communicable diseases
Supervises sterile processing functions.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse :
Active New JerseyRN License
BSN preferred
Infection Control experience is preferred.
Current Certification preferred; must sit for the CIC exam within two (2) years & maintain thereafter
Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Certified Infection Preventionist (IP) :
BS in Nursing and/or Biology, Medical Technology, or related field required.
Two plus years experience as a Certified Infection Preventionist (IP)
OR
Scheduling Requirements
8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday–Friday
