Diesel Mechanic 1st Shift - $5,000 Sign On Bonus
Location: Portland, ME (Portland, ME) – WM (Worx/WM – North America’s leading provider of comprehensive waste management environmental services).
Overview As a Diesel/CNG Mechanic at WM you will maintain a fleet of trucks and equipment, ensuring safe operation across the U.S. Your work supports over 20 million customers and contributes to WM’s mission of waste reduction and renewable energy creation.

Schedule
Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (first shift)
No weekends
Location: Repair/maintenance shop at our Portland, ME hauling site
Responsibilities
Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on trucks and equipment.
Estimate time and material costs for vehicle repairs and new parts.
Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
Respond to emergency breakdown service calls.
Perform safety checks on vehicles.
Complete required documentation: parts usage, repair times, and driver vehicle inspection report entries.
Assist senior mechanics with project work.
Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate/OSHA standards.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
Physical capability to lift, push, pull, crouch, and climb; stand, walk, and grasp for extended periods.
Ability to perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Successful completion of pre‑employment drug screen and physical examination.
Over 18 years of age.
