Responsibilities
Promote safety and prioritize safety throughout the operation in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
Operate plant equipment to regulate the flow of materials to and from conveyors, chutes, pumps, and storage bins; control stockpile inventory of materials.
Inspect equipment, structures, and material; perform daily inspections and maintenance of plant equipment, documenting items in need of repair or service.
Monitor processes and materials; review plant equipment systems to ensure continuous flow of materials, maintaining certified products and removing clogged materials when applicable.
Document and record information; assist plant management with record‑keeping and daily production schedules, preparing reports on production and maintenance, reading and writing delivery tickets, and issuing tickets to customers.
Repair and maintain plant equipment; assist with maintenance activities, including greasing, lubricating, and other minor repairs throughout the plant when necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
Preferred: Previous experience in the aggregate or construction industry.
Preferred: Basic knowledge of the concrete, cement, or construction industry.
Must be able to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands.
Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate loud noise.
Must have some knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance.
