We are looking for a Tractor/Trailer Mechanic to help us meet production and quality goals. As a Trex Tractor/Trailer Mechanic you will safely perform mechanical repairs on Trex’s fleet and trailer equipment, ensuring all vehicles are in proper working condition and meet safety standards. This role is a key member of our Operations team.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Put safety first - always
Work as a team to drive our “people first” culture
Perform scheduled services as needed, in conjunction with our established service schedules.
Ensure fleet and trailers are safe and operational
Perform Federal DOT inspections for all equipment as required by law
Maintain accurate paperwork and work orders for all equipment
Perform mechanical repairs on Trex’s fleet
Troubleshoot mechanical issues
Perform basic welding
Knowledge and maintenance of walking floor systems
Perform on-road repairs within a defined radius
Perform mechanical repairs on trailers including walking floor bulk trailers, flatbeds, vans, containers, and pneumatic bulk tankers
Collaborate with Fleet Supervisor, Coordinators, and team members
Perform additional duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent
Class A CDL License
Wheel End and Air Brake Certification
Ability to perform Federal DOT Inspections
Knowledge of DDE and Cummins software
Experience as a Field or Diesel Mechanic
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
Good physical strength, grip, dexterity, flexibility, and endurance
