Westmor is seeking a detail-oriented Paint Prep Technician to join our team. You will ensure surfaces are prepped for painting, maintain equipment, and keep the work area organized.
A Paint Prep Technician is responsible for completing the following duties:
Surface Preparation : Sand with an air sander, apply sand poly and primer, verify removal of spatter and slag, and apply filler.
Measurement and Documentation : Measure and record pre and post sand dry mill thickness using measurement devices, and complete necessary paperwork.
Equipment Maintenance : Perform daily maintenance on paint prep equipment, clean paint booth and lights, change filters, and organize the paint prep area.
Safety and Operation : Identify and mask areas not to be painted, operate tugger, lifts, and other machinery safely, and wear proper safety equipment.
Coordination and Organization : Coordinate workflow and maintain a clean, organized paint prep area.
Compensation
The starting pay range for this position is $18 - $22 per hour. Final compensation will depend on various factors including: skills, experience, and location.
Day Shift
6:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday
