$33.35 - $50.03 per hour

About the Role As a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, you'll play a vital role in performing diagnostic testing on body fluids to aid in the treatment and care of patients. You'll ensure timely, accurate results while maintaining safety and regulatory standards, and may also be called upon to take on Charge Technologist duties if qualified.

Responsibilities

Conduct diagnostic testing on patient specimens

Ensure proper specimen handling, including those for delayed analysis

Prioritize and organize workload to meet critical testing timelines

Communicate effectively with clinical teams, ensuring prompt reporting of results

Perform quality control, safety checks, and assist with lab operations

Potentially assume Charge Technologist duties (for those with 6+ years' experience), including oversight of emergency scheduling, instrument maintenance authorization, and communication with leadership

Job Requirements Responsibilities

Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science

Valid NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist license or limited permit (must be active prior to start)

ASCP certification (MT or MLS)

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a clinical laboratory

Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety and quality

Experience handling infectious and/or hazardous materials

Preferred

Leadership potential for Charge Technologist role (6+ years' lab experience)

Proven ability to adapt to variable start times and shifting priorities
