Licensed Mental Health Therapist (IIC) – Needed in Cape May County
Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare is hiring part‑time Licensed Mental Health Therapists to provide in‑home weekly therapeutic services for youth in Southern New Jersey.
About Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare NPBHC offers a comprehensive range of therapeutic support services for youth and young adults with mental disorders, developmental disabilities, and intellectual challenges. Their strengths‑based, culturally competent approach focuses on individualized care and utilizes technology to improve outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Provide individual in‑home therapy and telehealth sessions.
Perform bio‑psycho‑social assessments (or be willing to complete training).
Teach coping and social skills, anger management, and reduce risk behaviors such as self‑injurious behavior or physical aggression.
Improve youth and caretaker decision‑making skills to manage in‑home behavioral challenges.
Collaborate consistently with the Child‑Family Treatment Team and other professionals supporting the youth and family.
Submit required documentation (intake, treatment plan, DAP notes, etc.) within designated time frames.
Attend monthly meetings and submit mandatory clinical documentation.
Requirements
Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields (LSW, LAC, LFT).
Clinical mental health trauma counseling training.
Some training or willingness to complete crisis intervention training.
Post‑internship field experience working with youth with mental health disorders.
Experience creating treatment plans, goals, progress notes, and initial assessments.
Competence in CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma Response approaches.
Proficiency in using the DSM‑V for assessments and diagnosis.
Availability for a minimum of 6–10 hours per week after‑school (12 noon–8 pm); weekend flexibility is a plus.
Experience providing positive behavior supports.
Experience working with children ages 3–20; experience with I/DD is a plus.
Valid driver’s license and registered vehicle.
Pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
Submit résumé plus copies of master’s degree, certification or license.
Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.
Licensure State reciprocity considered; candidate must be within 25–30 minutes commute to designated service areas. License must be registered with the NJ Marriage & Family Therapy Board (PA, NY & NJ).
Compensation $45–$75 per hour
