Licensed Mental Health Therapist (IIC) - Needed in Bergen County Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare is hiring Part‑time Licensed Therapists in Northern New Jersey to provide In‑Home and Center‑Based weekly therapeutic services for youth with mental health disorders.

Pay Range Hourly compensation between $45.00 and $75.00, based on skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities

Provide individual in‑home therapy, group therapy sessions, telehealth therapy, and outpatient center sessions.

Perform bio‑psycho‑social assessments (optional).

Teach coping and social skills, anger management, and reduce risk behaviors such as SIB or physical aggression.

Assist youth and caretakers in decision‑making to manage in‑home behavioral challenges.

Collaborate consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and other multidisciplinary professionals.

Submit required documentation and paperwork within designated time frames (intake, treatment plan, DAP notes, etc.).

Attend monthly meetings and submit mandatory clinical documentation.

Be willing to complete or train for Bio‑Psycho‑Social assessments.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy or related fields (e.g., LSW, LAC, LFT).

Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training.

Training or willingness to complete Crisis Intervention Training.

Post‑internship field experience working with youth with mental health disorders.

Experience in creating treatment plans, setting goals, writing progress notes and conducting initial assessments.

Knowledge of several counseling approaches: CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma Response.

Proficient in using DSM‑V for assessments and diagnoses.

Minimum availability of 6‑10 hours per week during after‑school hours (12 pm‑8 pm); weekend flexibility is a plus.

Experience in providing positive behavior supports.

Prior experience working with children ages 3‑20; experience with children with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) is a plus.

Valid driver’s license and registered vehicle.

Pass a criminal background check, inclusive of fingerprinting.

Submit resume and copies of master’s degree and NJ or other relevant credential (e.g., Licensing).

Candidates must have authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship; H‑1B and other work visas are not sponsored.

Note: State Reciprocity is considered but the candidate must be no more than 25‑30 minutes commute to the designated service areas. The license must be registered with the NJ Marriage & Family Therapy Board (i.e., PA, NY & NJ). Compensation
