Job Details
Telemetry RN's monitor patients’ vital signs by reading and analyzing an electrocardiogram, or another life‑sign monitoring device. Tele RN's are required for post‑ICU care. They monitor critically ill patients, most of whom are cardiac cases. Tele RN's typically work in a hospital setting and care for patients who are out of the ICU but need their vital signs monitored closely (after surgery, for example).
Shift: 4/5: 1 day shift, 5/6: 1 night shift—floating may be requested.
Education & Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN): 4‑year education
Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN): 2‑year education
Must earn an ADN or BSN degree and pass the NCLEX to apply for an RN license.
RN’s can only work with an active state license.
ACLS and TELE certifications are often required.
