NMPG- Nurse Practitioner- PRN
Position Purpose
Provides health care for individuals, families and other groups in the clinic setting of the clinic under the medical direction of the collaborating physician and in accordance with the laws and regulations of the State of Texas and the by-laws and Regulations/Policies.
Position Duties (not All Inclusive)
Conducts comprehensive patient assessments, including physical exams, observations, and medical history reviews
Documents patient histories, symptoms, care plans, and updates records in Electronic Health Records (EHR)
Develops, implements, and modifies patient care and treatment plans based on clinical findings
Orders, administers, and interprets diagnostic tests (e.g., blood work, X-rays, scans)
Monitors, operates, and maintains medical equipment; ensures quality control and safety standards
Identifies changes in patient condition and adjusts treatment plans as necessary
Collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care
Communicates diagnoses, test results, and treatment plans to patients and families with strong bedside manner
Educates patients and families on disease management, prevention, and post-care instructions
Refers patients to specialists and reviews medical records and reports as needed
Utilizes medical software systems, including EHR, billing, scheduling, telemedicine, research, and e-prescribing platforms
Ensures daily and weekly environmental cleaning, equipment maintenance, and compliance with healthcare protocols
