This role in summary
The FDC driver will support manufacturing by receiving units that are produced via the conveyor system and putting them away to their stow destination. Additional responsibilities include: preparing units for outbound shipments and ensuring they meet quality standards.
Your responsibilities will include
Driving a clamp truck (90% backwards)
Being able to work in a team environment
Prepare units for shipments that are delivered across the country and internationally
Ensure outbound units meet the minimum quality standard
Self driven and motivated
Be able to communicate clearly via radio or in-person
Work overtime as needed
Minimum requirements
Minimum of High School education or equivalent
Must have a valid Driver's License and be able to pass a Clamp Truck driving test to be certified to operate the equipment
Able to drive backwards most of the day while Clamp Truck is carrying load
Clear understanding of company policies and procedures and demonstrates the Whirlpool values of integrity, teamwork, diversity and inclusion, and a spirit of winning
Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver and sustain results with strong problem solving and decision making skills
Exhibits a high capacity to deal with multiple priorities
Must demonstrate an extremely high level of attention to detail
Takes personal responsibility and demonstrates strong self-initiative
Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds
Flexibility to work any overtime or adjusted schedule that may be required due to production demands
Preferred skills and experiences Experience of driving a forklift or clamp truck is a plus
